We have a very exciting event to share with you that’s happening next month. At Red Roofs Residential Care Home on Grange Road in Newark we will be holding a car wash fundraiser on Saturday 7th August between 11am and 3pm to raise money for the home so we can buy a jukebox for our residents.
Our hardworking, dedicated staff and their family members will be volunteering to clean cars and other small vehicles throughout the day with donations much appreciated. All proceeds made on the day will contribute towards Red Roofs’ jukebox.
Trish Smith, general manager at Red Roofs Residential Care Home said:
“We are delighted that we will be able to hold our fundraiser in August. The staff at Red Roofs have been planning the event for quite some time and the residents are very excited about it too.
The idea came from a few recent live singing events we’ve hosted outdoors in our patio area. Our residents love to get up and dance with members of the team or with one another whenever there’s music on, so we want to permanently be able to offer them music from their past times.
With the town’s support, we can achieve this and we’re really looking forward to welcoming drivers to Red Roofs for the afternoon.”
There will be refreshments, snacks and cakes available for purchase while people wait for their vehicles to be cleaned. Cash donations will be accepted.
