Mealtimes are moments of connection and comfort at Red Homes Healthcare Community. We combine freshly prepared meals with award-winning Apetito dishes, offering residents the warmth of home cooking alongside trusted nutritional care.
Every day begins with a freshly cooked breakfast, followed by varied lunch and dinner options to suit every resident, from hearty home-cooked favourites to high-quality Apetito dishes. At Red Roofs, our Head of Catering prepares all meals on-site, while Red Rose and Red Court blend home-style cooking with quality Apetito dishes.
Our Catering Managers work closely with care staff to accommodate dietary needs, allergies, and personal preferences, from favourite family recipes to cultural food traditions, we take pride in making every plate feel personal. Family members are always welcome to join their loved ones at mealtimes.
Beyond our main meals, our kitchen is always open for snacks and treats whenever residents feel like something special.
We’re always happy to hear your thoughts. If you have feedback or would like to learn more about mealtimes at a specific home, please get in touch at enquiries@redhomes.com.
Activities are an essential part of health and well-being at Red Homes Healthcare. Continued learning and engagement can improve memory, boost appetite, and build confidence, which is why every home has a dedicated activities coordinator who creates opportunities for residents to pursue familiar hobbies or discover new interests.
We’re incredibly proud of our dedicated team who bring passion and creativity to every activity, ensuring each resident feels valued and engaged.
We understand the importance of staying active and mobile through tailored activities, such as balloon tennis, dancing, and gentle stretching sessions, that suit individual abilities and preferences. In the summer, outings including delightful river cruises from Farndon Marina are a highlight on the calendar.
Meaningful activity means continuing the purposeful routines that bring joy. Whether it’s potting plants, baking favourite treats, joining a quiz, or writing poetry, our programs are designed to inspire connection, creativity, and personal fulfilment.
Animal therapy is also a cherished part of life at Red Homes, offering companionship, comfort, and often sparking memories and conversation in a natural and meaningful way.
From rediscovering old passions to exploring new ones, activities at Red Homes Healthcare help residents stay engaged with life in ways that matter most to them.
Music, laughter, and shared moments are at the heart of life in our homes. We’re proud to collaborate with a wonderful network of talented local musicians, entertainers, and community groups who bring vibrancy and connection to our residents’ daily lives.
Our entertainment isn’t just about watching a performance – it’s about being part of something special. Whether residents are singing along to cherished songs, dancing to live music, or participating in interactive storytelling and theatre, these moments create genuine joy and meaningful connections.
These shared experiences do so much more than entertain. They lift spirits, unlock treasured memories, and strengthen the bonds between residents, our dedicated staff, and the wider community. We regularly witness the profound impact of these moments – from the joy of a familiar melody to the connections that form through shared laughter and participation.

Wellbeing is essential to quality care. True wellbeing extends far beyond meeting basic needs – it’s about nurturing the whole person and celebrating what makes each resident unique.
We take the time to truly know our residents, understanding their personal stories, preferences, and what brings them joy. This deep understanding enables us to provide care that encompasses not just clinical needs, but also emotional and social wellbeing.
Our homes are thoughtfully designed with residents’ physical and psychological comfort at the heart of every decision. Fresh air and green gardens provide peaceful spaces for reflection and hands-on gardening opportunities, while regular outings and activities offer stimulating experiences that keep residents connected to the wider community.
Building meaningful relationships is at the heart of everything we do. Our resident associations create natural opportunities for friendship and mutual support, fostering the sense of belonging that helps everyone thrive. When residents feel truly known and valued, they flourish – and so do we.
Creating a support network with our residents’ associations builds community. Please call our individual homes directly if you would like to join in.
All the staff were really helpful and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. My father was able to die with dignity in the company of family, at a very difficult time.
