Thoughts from our new CEO

I am very happy to announce that I am returning to the UK to move into the role of CEO at Red Homes Healthcare, a post I previously held until 2015; while qualified nurse Tony Carlin (and our former Healthcare manager) will become our Compliance Director.

This decision follows a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) report which noted our commitment to providing outstanding person-centred care as well as recognising the consistent improvements made since the CQC’s last inspection.

Red Homes Thoughts from our new CEO
Over the last few years we have all been working tirelessly to improve standards across criteria set for us by standards bodies, residents and their families. After securing excellent ratings from Nottinghamshire County Council, we believe now is the right time to push this even further.

That’s why I’m pleased to be back in the role of CEO, so I can help take the group from strength to strength and continue to create homes where people really want to live in later life.  Tony is renowned for driving quality practice and creating staff teams that really understand what quality care looks and feels like, not only for the CQC and local authorities, but for those who really matter, our residents and our families.

My parents founded Red Homes and inspired me to embark on a vocation in care at the age of 14. Thirty years on I am passionate about driving the expansion of Red Homes Healthcare via acquisition and by investing in new facilities, most notably the Serenity Suite focusing on end of life care, which opened in May 2019.

With Tony’s help and our dedicated managers, I want to ensure that all our homes are delivering quality and efficient care fit for our much-loved residents. To achieve this, we will empower our managers to share best practice with each other and within their communities, while also giving them the autonomy to create home-from-home environments and experiences. It’s an exciting time to be at Red Homes.
