In light of the recent Government announcement, we are thrilled to be able to once again open our doors safely to let those closest be reunited with their loved ones.
Vaccines are underway across the Group and we feel confident enough to allow visits to resume. We’ve celebrated so many large birthdays over the last few months and now those visiting can finally have their own celebrations.
Previously we have always encouraged skin-to-skin contact as it’s so important. Touch is vital for not only our mental health but our physical health too and from 8th March our residents will feel the warmth of another person’s hand. As an instant reaction we all reach out for people who may be struggling because offering a hand helps calm a situation and builds trust.
These visits are going to have such a positive impact on everyone and we are looking forward to seeing beaming smiles and being a part of the reunion.

“We welcome the news that from 8th March, one visitor will be allowed to visit our homes in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, and I’m delighted that care homes have at last become a priority. We know how hard it has been for our residents and their families to be separated and can’t wait to reunite husbands and wives or other family members and see them hug and hold hands once more.
“We will continue to do our utmost to keep our residence safe by insisting on the correct wearing of full PPE and administering temperature tests on site, for every visitor, before every visit.“Our staff and our families have been overwhelmingly supportive of all the measures we have had to undertake throughout the last 12 months and, though not ideal, they have adapted extremely well to window visits and video calls.
“However, now that all of our staff and residents have been tested, it is time to gradually open our doors to bring the joy of family time and togetherness back into our homes.”
