Red Homes Healthcare recognises the importance of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

Every year during September, global communities join hands in raising awareness of Alzheimer’s and how we can all come together to fight against the stigma around it.

Red Homes Healthcare recognises the importance of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

At Red Homes Healthcare, we have been true supporters of helping our residents sail through these tough times, especially during the pandemic, and continue to care for them with profound love and warmth.

This year’s theme is ‘Know Dementia, Know Alzheimer’s,’ a continuation from 2021 but with more focus on post-diagnosis support. Many organisations around the world have been busy organising global fundraisers, hosting activities and campaigns, to try and bring more attention to those diagnosed with the condition.

To specifically cater to the needs of our residents affected by Alzheimer’s, our Red Rose care home in Farndon is well staffed by expert professionals, who continue to support them with deep affection and place them at the centre of everything we do.

The Covid-19 pandemic may have brought tough challenges, but our well-trained staff have never let our specially cared residents endure any difficulties. In fact, they have strived to work harder in taking care of their every need.

We appreciate that there are complexities involved in looking after your loved ones. It can be anything – from the stress and exhaustion involved to the demands of the individual. This is where we come in and understand your worries, before going above and beyond to provide compassionate and respectful care.

Residents are regularly engaged in a range of activities that are specially designed for them. Our small yet brilliant team has plenty of experience under their belt and is tasked with developing hobbies and recreational routines that help maintain the mental and physical health of residents. We have witnessed the positive outcomes of these activities as residents are motivated and energetic.

This Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, we have pledged to uphold our ongoing commitments towards passionately caring for our residents and relentlessly supporting them on all fronts, without compromising any of their needs.
