The month of October is almost here and we are now just three months away from 2023. September presented a rollercoaster of emotions for our residents.
We witnessed the sad demise of our beloved Queen. Residents mourned her remarkable life by signing condolence books and a visit from local dignitaries, such as the Mayor.
Although we are excited about all upcoming activities planned for our lovely residents, we felt a little throwback would be perfect to reminisce about everything done in September. So, glance through our blog to know what kept our residents busy!
Craft sessions
Who knew our residents were talented artists?
They all love a good session of craft and all the fun that comes along. We curated a special surprise for them as our staff held a craft learning class. Every single one of our residents exhibited their creativity and created an array of beautiful art pieces – something we are proud of them!

Mexican day at Red Rose!
Our Red Rose family threw a Mexican Day for our fellow residents!
The exhilarating day was coordinated by one of our fabulous staff, Nancy Ibanez. She prepared some lovely dishes and decorated the dining room to the delight of our residents.
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the special meal and their taste of Mexican cuisine. They all thanked Nancy for organising a pleasant and joyful dinner time.
Mourning the passing of Her Majesty
We were deeply saddened by the passing away of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, and joined the nation in honouring her great legacy and remarkable life.
Across our care homes, we remembered the Queen’s dedication and hard work towards her country and the Commonwealth. Each of our homes mourned the passing of Her Majesty and celebrated her long life.
The local Mayor visited Red Roofs with a book of condolences. Our dear residents signed the book and shared their favourite memories of the Queen. Red Court arranged a condolence corner for residents to reflect on their thoughts and provided a safe place to share their feelings. Everyone at Red Rose gathered in the dining room, and the residents appreciated the decor in remembrance of the Queen.
