We raised spirits as well as cakes at Red Roofs this month when we put our best cakes forward for our first ever bake off.
We invited our families and friends to enjoy a slice of the action and judge the entries, awarding the star bakers with a trophy. The winning bake was a delicious lemon drizzle cake which was lovingly crafted by some of our residents.
Our guests had a chance to purchase all the creations after the judging, which included some tasty banana bread, white chocolate chip cookies and a lovely Madeira cake.
We had lots of fun baking our entries and the cherry on top was that the residents enjoyed such a great day together with their families and friends. Hopefully this will become a tradition that we enjoy every year!
