At Red Homes we take a holistic approach to healthcare. You place your trust in us to care for your loved ones and we strive every day to provide an environment where they thrive.
We look after the mental wellbeing of our residents by ensuring their care is personalised and that they maintain their independence for as long as possible. But a key part of optimum mental health, especially that of older people or those with dementia, is frequent and meaningful interactions with those closest to them.

That’s why today, we’re backing John’s Campaign. Those with dementia are often scared and lonely because of the condition, and John’s Campaign is fighting so everyone has the right to be supported by their loved ones, whatever their stage of treatment.
The generation that Red Homes is caring for today fought so that they could see their children when they were in hospital. Today, their children are campaigning to have the same right.
This is reaffirmation of the commitments we have always made to residents and their families. We whole-heartedly welcome, appreciate and value family and friends of our residents to our homes. Their support, personal knowledge and experience, alongside our expertise and specialist skills enables us to provide the very best person-centred care and boost optimum health.
We welcome our residents’ loved ones because it’s the right thing to do. But doing the right thing isn’t enough. Many care homes and hospital wards still refuse access under certain circumstances, even though this risks a patient’s physical and mental health. By backing John’s Campaign, we’re adding our voice to countless others, so that guidelines change and every home and ward are held to higher standards.
