Following the recent Government announcement, Red Homes Healthcare is delighted to be welcoming more family members from the same household into each care home.
Regular visits are being extended from one to two people under carefully designed conditions to prevent transmission of Covid-19. We are monitoring this closely and will continue to do so until the Government and Public Health England have agreed otherwise.
Those visiting any Red Homes who are parents, will also be able to visit with babies and very young children, who will not count as one of the two visitors.
Since the announcement, Red Roofs has celebrated a very special meeting between two people. Betty Braithwaite, a resident at the home, met her great granddaughter Willow for the first time. It was an emotional afternoon and highlighted the need for loved ones to visit our care homes.
Trish Smith, care home manager at Red Roofs said:
“Back in March we were fortunate enough to be able to allow one visitor in to see their loved ones but now we’re allowed two it has transformed Red Roofs’ atmosphere; it almost feels magical. We’re seeing tears of happiness, grandmothers meeting their grandchildren for the first time and we know we’re heading in the right direction.”
“Procedures are still in place and we shall be providing personal protective equipment (PPE)across all of our homes which must be worn prior to entry. Visitors will also have their temperature checked and have to present a negative result from a Lateral Flow Test before gaining access to the home.”

If there is a change to visiting due to Covid-19 at either Red Roofs, Red Rose or Red Court a member of the team will be in contact with you. All homes have to act immediately if exposed to or have any Covid-19 cases.
