Halloween is something we love to celebrate every year and 2020 is no exception. Of course, things are very different given the real-life frights the world is facing at the moment, however we did not let that put a dampener on the celebrations.
Red Court hosted a frightfully fun Halloween tea party, complete with paper pumpkin decorations and delicious homemade cupcakes. As you can see, Andrea, one of our fantastic activities coordinators at Red Court, was dressed to impress. She wore a spooky witch hat, decorated her face mask with sequins and dazzled our residents with her beautiful face gems.
The team at Red Roofs hosted their very own Halloween celebrations and did not leave a single stone unturned when it came to their costumes. Our brilliant carers transformed themselves into creepy characters including a frightful witch and a scary doctor with a gruesome severed arm prop and fake blood.
Residents and staff dressed up as witches for their Halloween party complete with witches hats, wigs and broomsticks. They decorated the home with bunting, paper pumpkins, balloons, glow-in-the-dark skeletons, and fake cobwebs. They also enjoyed delicious homemade cupcakes.
Lin Amos, general manager at Red Court, said:
“Our beloved residents and dedicated staff have had a challenging year, so it’s important to us that we take every opportunity to put on a celebration that everyone can get involved with. Halloween is something our residents always look forward to celebrating and our fantastic carers never fail to put on a party to remember.”
She continues:
“Things are certainly different, and they will be the foreseeable future, but we’re working hard to ensure our residents remain happy and healthy despite the challenges we all face. Occasions like Halloween are a key part of that. Now we’re looking ahead to the exciting celebrations we have planned for Bonfire Night, Christmas, New Year and beyond!”
