This Christmas will definitely be different to the ones we’ve previously had at Red Homes but we’re going to make December 25th as special as we can.
We’re appealing to young people to design and create the most festive Christmas card they can make and send it in to one of our care homes.
Our summer appeal which was launched to encourage children of all ages to ‘Keep in Touch’ with our residents was a huge success and we received some fantastic entries. We want to keep the momentum going after the difficult year we’ve all had, and this is a great opportunity to do just that.
Sadly, care homes have been under very strict rules to protect both staff and residents from Covid-19 so we’re wanting to bring joy back into the festive season. We will be reading all cards to the residents and decorating the home with them. It will really transform the living area and bring many smiles to all of our faces.
We’re really excited to see how far and wide this appeal goes. It would be fantastic to receive cards from all over the UK! There are no area restrictions for us so if you want to send a Christmas card in please do use one of the four addresses below. Alternatively, you are more than welcome to send in a card to each home if you wish.
