Easter is always a great cause for celebration across our homes. Residents and carers alike love celebrating it, with plenty of opportunity for fun – whether it involves chocolate, crafts or gardening! Here is a round-up of what Red Rose, Red Court and Red Roofs got up to for Easter 2022.
Red Rose Care Community
To get the Easter period under way, Red Rose staff were celebrated with a chocolate gift of appreciation to highlight their hard work and dedication. Excitingly, there were some new arrivals into the home, too. Arriving in incubators, our eggs eventually hatched, giving our residents some new feathered chick friends. The residents loved seeing the chicks and warmly welcomed them into their new home at Red Rose.

For Easter itself, residents and care workers alike were spoiled rotten by a number of amazing families – including the children of one of our members of staff, who brought us bags of chocolate eggs, bright flowers and animal balloons. The Easter raffle was also well stocked – as usual!

Red Court Care Community
At Red Court, some of the residents took the time to express themselves creatively. Among the various activities were colourful artistic efforts, as well as the creation of mini bunny rabbits. Easter flower bouquets were also put together, with many residents enjoying their colourful look, as well as their sweet scent.

Easter nests of chocolate eggs, mini chicks and fresh flowers were presented, giving Red Court a fantastic Easter feeling. And then, finally, look at the special Easter cupcakes that were produced by the home – they tasted as good as they looked, too!
Red Roofs Residential Care Home
The residents of Red Roofs came together to paint ceramic eggs and colour in decorations. Then we hung the eggs from a tree of fairy lights, as well as pinning up the Easter cards on our feature wall. Then, the ladies of Red Roofs decorated a number of bonnets. The finished results on our residents looked amazing, and everyone had a great time putting them together.

It was then over to the kitchen, for some tasty Easter treats. Residents got their aprons and hairnets on, grabbed their mixing bowls and whipped together some lovely chocolate rice crispy cakes. As you can imagine, they were well received by fellow residents and carers!
Then, on Easter Sunday itself, carers dressed up in a rabbit and chicken costume, much to the laughter of residents. Chocolate eggs galore made up the display table, while everyone enjoyed a scone in the glorious Easter sunshine.
