We are celebrating at Red Homes Healthcare Group, as one of our brilliant Deputy Managers has been recognised with a regional award.

Red Court Care Community’s Deputy Manager, Val Betts, was the winner of the Nursing & Nurse Associate in Social Care award at the 2021 Lincolnshire Care Awards. Val is in her 50th year of being a qualified nurse, and the award is a celebration of her fantastic achievements in providing the best quality of service for residents.
The ceremony was held at the County Assembly Rooms in Lincoln on Thursday 24th March, with Val attending the awards night along with Red Court manager, Lin Amos.
According to the Lincolnshire Care Awards, the award highlights ‘an individual who uses expertise, clinical and technical knowledge to deliver effective care and treatment’, as well as, ‘showing that they are committed to person centre care and quality support of the individuals they care for’.
The awards ceremony highlights the best in Lincolnshire’s care sector, and is truly something to be treasured, especially considering that Val was selected ahead as the best of eight applicants.

It was Lin who nominated Val for the award itself, and she said:
“We have a fantastic team of staff here at Red Court that look after residents every day, and Val is a major part of the team. She puts the health and wellbeing of each resident above everything else, and she does a fabulous job of looking after them.
As she enters her 50th year of being a qualified nurse, what better way to celebrate than this much deserved award, congratulations Val!”
Val added:
“I am delighted to have received this award from the Lincolnshire Care Awards.
It means a lot to be recognised in this way with such a prestigious award. It is a pleasure to work at Red Court Care Community with my fantastic colleagues and wonderful residents.”
After the ceremony, Val showed residents and colleagues at Red Court the award and enjoyed some photos together.
